Dr. Shi is an energy scientist, entrepreneur, and co-founder of Siltrax. Internationally known as “The Sun King,” Dr. Shi lends his expertise in the semiconductor/ photovoltaics space to drive Siltrax’s unique innovations.

Dr. Shi’s reputation is well-earned. In 2000, he founded Suntech Power and went on to invent the world’s first glass-free, lightweight, and flexible PV panel. He owns more than 80 patents and has written 100 academic papers. He’s also a professor at the University of New South Wales and a fellow at the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences & Engineering. In 2007, Time Magazine named him a “Hero of the Environment.”

Dr. Zhu has over 20 years of operations and technology development experience in the renewable energy space. He served as VP of Technology at Suntech Power, Chief Engineer at Nortel Networks, and CTO of Shunfeng International Clean Energy.

Dr. Zhu brings a wealth of experience in semiconductor research, as well as manufacturing, and quality management experience. He owns more than 30 patents and has written over 25 academic papers.

Ben Gust currently serves as Managing Partner at Virescent Ventures, an Australian cleantech VC firm that was born out of the Clean Energy Finance Corporation, Australia’s de facto “Green Bank.”

Dr. Renate Egan is currently the Executive Director for the Australian Center for Advanced Photovoltaics, the national center for photovoltaics research led by University of New South Wales. Dr. Egan’s career spans over 30 years, most of it spent in industry, where she led manufacturing and technology development in Australia.
